phone call at 10:25pm CST. Caller was actually a recording who identified himself as Kevin Mason with the U.S. Treasury. Something about second attempt to contact us on legal matters. I could hear another ring in the background. Suspicious, due to the time of the call I googled. Seems Kevin Mason calls a lot of people. The number varies some but the name is the same. It is apparently a known scam.
Caller id Forks, WA. Claims to be Kevin Mason concerning an enforcement action executed by the United States treasury.
He tries to scare you into calling him back (which I did not do) or there will be serious consequences.
The problem is that these calls tend to based overseas which puts them outside our jurisdiction. It would be great if the country of origin was willing to take action, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
