Got a call from this number. At first they stalled before saying anything after I said hello twice. Then a woman asked to talk to me by name. I told her I was unavailable. She said she was calling to renew subscription for TV guide and would call back. Sounded like she was at home no background sounds as to where I thought it might be official. I can't wait to mess with her when she calls back for I'll give her a hard time by telling her to send an invoice or literature for me to 'send' her a check instead. Just got a call from this number, took a few mins after picking up the phone to get a person on the line. I was told that I had talked to one of their representatives and while I didn't want the magazines they were offering, I was still going to receive a $250 gift card. They asked had I received the gift cards yet. I said no and told them I never signed up for anything like this, they said they know, that's why I am not getting the magazines. I told them no, I never talked to anyone. I was then asked if I would like the $250 gift card...(like some company is just handing them out for picking up the phone) I told the guy on the line I didn't want anything from them and that their records were wrong. He asked, so you don't want a $250 gift card? I said, what I want is for you to stop trying to steal my identity. To which he replied $#@# YOU! and hung up.....not a very slick scam.
