I just recieved the same exact thing you had. everything you just typed was the same exact thing that I just went through. Thye told me that they were looking at taxes I had filed from 2008-2012... I filed taxes for the first time last year haha. Then they told me I had payed all of my taxes and I told them that I was paying in installments and that I hadnt payed them off fully and they just hung up immediately. So happy that it was a scam.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Just received a call from this number a few minutes ago. I have Caller ID and did not recognize the phone number. I also have my trusty CPR Call Blocker V108 - which can block up to 1200 robocallers and scammers - and I immediately blocked the call, then checked this site to verify that it is indeed a fraudulent call. Believe it or not, in just two months of using the CPR Call Blocker I have now blocked 120 phone numbers!! The number of robocallers, scammers, fraudsters, is simply limitless.
