Who called from 3602844872

This person called and I did not pick up because I didn't recognize the number. The voicemail said that the IRS is filing a claim and I should call right away. I am not planning to call the number back.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

This person called and I did not pick up because I didn't recognize the number. i have been recieving a lot of "IRS" calls as well as "There is a problem with your computer" calls.  All have happened within days (even hours) of each other.  All the calls however are coming from different areas of the US.

I also got a call from the same number and did not answer.  My answering machine had the same message as yours about the IRS having a law suit against me.  I understand there is a scam out there.

Same call/message today.  Computer voice stating IRS and a lawsuit.  The real IRS will contact you by mail.  There are lots of scams out there!
