Like many other who have reported the same thing... my cell phone number has somehow gotten on the scammer's list... dozens of calls in a week or so. Nearly all with an East Indian accent with one exception. I was just ignoring the calls, then I decided to have a little fun with them. So now I answer and when they ask for "Cathy" as they always do, I say, "Hold one just a second, I'll get her. Oh, she has laryngitis so she can't speak very loudly so you'll have to listen very closely. Then I blast either a Fox40 emergency whistle or a marine air horn into the phone. It's still annoying to get these stupid calls but at least now I get my own chuckle out of it. I have noticed that since I started doing this yesterday, I've only gotten one call. It may just be a coincidence but perhaps at some point, they'll take my number out of the database.

I have told this number to stop calling. I do not have any "loans". It is a foreign man. He will just call from another number. There are five numbers he uses to call me over 20 times a day. He also texts me now too. I have a phone with 300 mins a month and it takes off 1 min for every call and text even if I don't answer. I was traveling with my kids and had only 15 mins left for an emergency call, when I did answer and politely explain that he had the wrong person and that I needed my phone minutes. He said no problem, then promptly called me back from another number. This should not be legal.
