I received a call, pressed 1 to talk to a representative, and requested to be removed from their calling list. I get about nine calls a day from these people.
I was told this was not burger king, and I couldn't always have things my way!
Like everyone else I get these annoying calls too.
Tried a few things - called back using the caller Id number - answered prompts to put me on their DNC. Hah.
If you hold for a live person usually as soon as mention "Do not call list" they hang up...
Soooooo...
lately I figured have some fun. I mean, they've already interupted me so I might as well return the favor.
my tactics are (vary according to your mood)
punch 1 or hold for the live person... when they answer
just keep saying "yes". no matter what they ask, just keep answering "yes"
speak in heavily accented voice, when they want your credit card number say 4-1- then mumble "errksgh"
get a timer going and see how long you can keep them on the phone
seriously - anyone know what government agency to notify?
Hmmmmm...... Second and final notice? I've been getting my "second and final notice as it relates to the stimulus" for a few years now. Why not just be honest and say that "this is your second and final notice for this hour as it relates to the stimulus. However, don't worry, you will receive at least two second and final notices a day until death do us part". I just answer the phone, put it down and let them run through the recording three or four times. That saves a couple of other people from being annoyed by the calls while I am taking up their phone line. You're welcome!!!!!!!!!
