I RECEIVE CALLS FROM THIS 360-322-6708 "BANKCARDSVCS" AT LEAST 2 0R 3 TIMES A WEEK. I HAVE CONNECTED TO THEIR SO CALLED DO NOT CALL LIST MANY TIMES. I STILL GET THEIR ANNOYING CALLS AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO STOP THEM. I ALSO LISTED WITH THE FEDERAL DO NOT CALL LIST AND THAT DIDNT' HELP.
First ! Yes I 'm on the Do Not Call Registry and have been for a long time *confirmed * I have blocked other numbers in the past that have called from**Bank Card Services ** but as others have mentioned B.C.S just calls again from a different number ! I have on more than one occasion pressed 1 just so I could speak to a real person Each time I advised the person to Remove me from their calling list as I do not have any credit cards at which time *they* promptly hung up !! I took a shot a called the number back and recorded message states *press 1 to have your number removed ! Approx 20min later ** Card Member Services 706 8051775** calls with the same song and dance I again pressed 1 for a live person and once I stated I wanted to be * Yep they again hung up before I was able to complete my request !! ENOUGH Already !!!
NEVER answer a phone call (mobile or land line) from a number you do not recognize- if it's important- the CALLER will leave a message. These SCAMMER/SCUMBAGS WILL NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE
It is the "Rachel from Card Services" interest rate scam. They want my personal information like social security, credit card, bank account numbers. They try to make it seem like they are from my bank. They have been calling me for at least 6 or 7 years. Maybe there are some different companies doing scams. It is all the same to me. It is probably the same people doing all the calling for all the different scams. Drug addicts? Maybe some of them are. But why give them an excuse? I think they are just cold-hearted, ruthless criminals who want to steal your money. Sometimes they make the phone ring once, sometimes three times, sometimes twice in rapid succession. Sometimes they leave a message, sometimes they don't. They call all day long from many different numbers. If you accidentally pick up, just hang up. Don't press some number to be connected or to be put on the scammers don't call list. You only verify your number to the scammers. You can also report them to FCC.gov or DoNotCall.gov.
Right from this website - #14 in the list of ways you can be scammed over the phone:
14.Call Forwarding Scam: You may receive a call or message where the caller, requests you to dial a 2-digit code preceded or followed by the * or # key (such as *79 or 72#), and then another phone number to claim some prize. This procedure programs your telephone to forward your calls to another number, possibly a toll or long distance number. Scammers can then call your number, be forwarded to the number you dialed and place calls that are billed to your home telephone number.
Maybe this post was from a scammer trying to get you to forward your calls to a scammer's number. Area code 773 is in the city of Chicago, Illinois.
We've been receiving the same stupid message now for the past year. "This is your second & final notice….. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah…" I haven't been able to stop it. I'd like to take a phone and shove it up their "YOU KNOW WHERE". Guess we just have to keep blocking their numbers. Eventually they will give up...
