Supposedly you are supposed to call this number to claim grant money. It's a 210$ fee to register. When I told them that you don't have to pay for a grant and that I wasn't going to pay then anything I got hung up on. They also tried to get me to give them my checking account number. They think I'm stupid!
I received a call today at approximately 6:00 pm from a man who claimed that he was from the Federal Reserve. He stated that I had been chosen by the Federal Government to receive a grant for $10,000.00 for having a good relationship with the government filing my taxes. He advised me that I had to choose to receive the money by western union, bank transfer, or prepaid card. He advised me to receive this money I had to take down the Reserve Bank Conformation number and phone number to his comptroller to confirm. The conformation number was: DC321 and the number to the comptroller was 360-329-4965. I called the number and the person that answered confirmed all of my personal information then stated that I had to pay $2000.00 up front and I would be reimbursed. he advised that I would receive a transfer in the amount of $12,000.00. When I advised the comptroller that what he was saying did not sound right he got an attitude and started to tell me that he wasn't on the phone to try to convince me to take the money and the decision was up to me. He asked me what I wanted to do. I advised him to have a good day and he hung up the phone.
I received a call from this number today. Supposedly to get a 10,000 federal grant. He told me to go to western union then give him a call. I asked for him why would I have to call back to get a number he could give me now. He told me that was the only way to receive the money. I told him that is not how western union works. He continued to try to get me to go and call him once I was at Western union. I knew it was a scam and hung up!
