I had the phone call from 1 as well. It sounded phishy (phishing scam), so I reported it to Verizon and they hadn't heard anything about it. I also submitted the website to Norton's Safeweb website reputation service https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=mybonus85.com. A couple days ago, Norton's service was identifying it as a phishing site (trying to steal login information and perhaps gain access to stored credit card information), but now it is showing up as untested. Anyway, beware of this site. This is the first I have heard of phone call phishing, but I assume it won't be the last. At the end of the day, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
After getting an automate call from another Washington phone number telling me to go to mybonus85.com (which I foolishly did), I got notice that my Verizon bill doubled though I actually have a zero balance. Then tonight, at 11:32 p.m., a call came in; I grabbed the phone, but the caller hung up. The number was the one above. VZ is investigating...duh...yeah...fraud is closed on Sun.
From Whois, I learned that the website named above originated in Washington state and that it changed frequently. I found only one other complaint by Googling, and that was posted 2 days ago.
Last night(4-28-13) at 10:35 PM CST I received a call from the 360-342-1111 it only rang 2 times and stopped. Then less then a minute later I recived another call, same thing they hung up. Unless I know the number I do not pick up and with all the scams going on I think it is the smart thing to do.
I received a call on my cell phone like the previous people did, but mine just had a 1 on my display. It was a voice telling me to go to mybonus85.com, from Verizon. I went & luckily could not log in. I'm glad I googled this before I tried again.
