I got a call from this number.......They played a recorded message (with a boat horn in the background) saying that I won 2 free cruise tickets, all I had to do was answer 10 questions.....that's when I hung up.
anybody ever get a toll-free number for these slimeballs?then we could call them, on their dime, and let their company eat the charges.
i like to call them back, switch to voice mail, and put my phone by the tv. usually will let you record for 5-10 minutes before cutting you off. then call their machine back again. company pays for the calls, and pays somebody to listen to them and delete them from the system. keeps a non-telemarketer employed and busy.
They here at work about 2-3 times a week. It does not really bother us. We either hang up when we hear it and move on, or we put them on hold and pass the call too someone else. It just makes it more fun. I have realized that if you just hang up then there is really no bother. If it bothers someone to the point of violence, then they might need to seek some help. This is a country of opportunity. This is just their way of seeking it. Who knows, maybe one of our jobs annoys someone. Moving on now.
Just got this on my cell phone, recognized the WA area code from previous attempts. These folks are criminals, they're breaking federal law by war dialing mobile exchanges, make sure to report them to the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints or https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088G .
