I got the same email. Is this legit or is it a scam? I called the number n some guy answered w a forgein accent. Told me to hire a lawyer as I would be served with a warrent and arrested.
It's a scam perpetrated by foreign scammers. Debt is civil, not criminal, so no one is going to be arrested or jailed. And anyway, even if you had committed a crime, the cops don't call you to tell you they're on their way! You can report these scammers - forward the email to the REAL FBI at their Internet Crime Complaint Center - www.ic3.gov - note that it's .GOV - government run websites always end in .gov - not .com. You can safely ignore the scammers - they can't do zip to you.
First you cannot log on to the website / dead site/ and if you try to email back you will receive a Mailer Domain UN-deliverable !!!!

I received a phone call from someone stating that a warrant would be issued to my state at 11:00 oclock today, but I could stop it if I contact the Law firm of Walsh and Peters tele no 360-474-4772 Att. Steven A Johnson. Ididn't respond because I know it's a scam. What can be done to stop this .
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
I got the exact same call with the contents of this email. I spoke to a Mr. STEVEN JOHNSON who has a very thick accent. He told me to settle by paying $475 with his client or face going to jail tomorrow. This is a scam.
