Got call on my cell from this unfamiliar number. Intentionally did not answer (the right thing to do with out-of-area-code numbers you don't know). No message left.
Got a call from the number. Intentionally didn't answer. No message left. Called back from office phone, rang once and reverted to fast busy signal. Google indicated it is from Port Angeles, WA.
Guys, Listen Up here.....ANY time you receive a call from a weirdo number like this and someone claims you won something, you owe something, or better yet, you HAVE TO DO something?? especially if you call back and no one answers (it is THE LAW for any telemarketer to identify who they are and respect your wishes to be put on a DO NOT CALL list)..........NO NO NO NO NO.........THIS IS A SCAM!!! THEY ARE ALL SCAMS!!! People are trying desperately these days to make money off of a person's weakness, whether it be ingorance, naivety, obliviousness, or just plain don't understand but want to cooperate. Scammers know this, that is why it works so well....they prey on the weakness of good people. So, next time you get a call from a wacky [***] number (your instinct usually says, "huh??" when you answer the phone), remember, IT.....IS.....A.....SCAM!! (PLEASE take my advice...and as always, if you locate an actual address for anyone scamming you, report it to your local authorities!)
