I got a voice mail that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and to call back.
I called back a Indian man answered and was in a call center.
He told me I owed $2762 from taxes from 2008-2013 and I needed to pay it today or I would go to jail for 3 years. He told he check my account and knows I have that kind of money which I don't so I knew he was lying. He proceeded to tell me to not get a third party involved because it was a federal matter and t figure out how I was going to get the money today. I looked it up online and hung up.
I think its a SCAM I am pretty sure the IRS would need to give you more than 5 hours to pay anything or your in jail with no prior notice or anything.
I got a call from 630-893-9893. It was a recorded digital voice message from the IRSH. It sounded like the IRSH... I guess they were aiming for IRS. It told me to call 360-499-2921. Fortunately I checked here first.
The collective wisdom and experience here has convinced me to disregard this scam. I thank you all very much for the time you take to report the calls that you do; especially if you do a bit of research for related info.
I have received 3 calls, voice mails with 360-449-2921,as the call back number, saying they were the IRS, and they were filing a lawsuit against us. The IRS will NEVER call, they would send a certified letter. It's a scam. If you get a voice mail from this number, delete it
Caller called and left number 3604992921 saying this is the IRS. I called the number back and I was suppose to have been over paid 2008 to 2013 in taxes. I am disable and I have not file taxes in years. This person gave his id number as FD6391. I think it is a scam.
Message from robo call from "Internal Revenue Service" that they're filing a lawsuit against me...call 360-499-2921 for more details about the case. Thanks all for posting here to confirm my suspicion!
