I received the same call. But didn't answer & of course like the rest of you , no message. However, my cell is on the Do Not Call List!! Once ur # is on there it's on there. Unless it's been disconnected or a few other minor things, You don't have to redo it every 6 months. I didn't answer my phone so unfortunately I can't report them.
But then u have company's like this who just dial every single #. So nothing is going 2 help.
* The real kicker is- a CC company? I could have had a lot of fun with them!! I don't use them!!!
Thanks 2 the people 4 the spam ring idea!!! What a wonderful idea!
Call starts off something like this. "Hello, I am calling about your Credit card".This is a telemarketer advertising Credit card services to reduce your rate if you own more than $3,000. You are supposed to press "1" to stop future calls. I have done this man times but the calls continue. Then it tells you to press 8 to speak to a company representative. This takes you the their own personal "National Do Not Call Registry where they ask you to enter your phone to be removed from their own personal Call list. I have done this also. This call came in about 3 weeks or more after I registered with them. I am registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. This company appears to be unstoppable and seems to have countless numbers.
I received a missed call from this number. I called back from my Office rotary phone and a recording said it was the Federal Do Not Call Registry. It was a male's voice asking me to enter my phone number. When I entered a fake number, it said that the number would be removed from the list. It asked if I wanted to speak to a representative to press #1. I did and the same male voice came on the line and asked me to hold, leave a voice mail or call 971-220-1984 for immediate assistance. I'm still holding . . . I doubt anyone would answer but I hope they do so I can tell them off!
I received a call from this number today 12/12/11 and had a recorded message: "On behalf of Visa/MasterCard/Discovery, we are calling you to let you know that your credit is in good standing.
If you wish to lower your rates on existing balances press 1"
Thinking that is was from the issuer I pressed one...who doesn't want reduced interest.
A lady of color (I only mention this because the diction, vocabulary, and manner of her postering made me instantly wary) started asking me without any "greeting" if I had balances on my credit card. When I asked from which company she was calling, she said: "you pushed one, do you want reduced interest rates?????" When I again asked her to identify her company.... she hung up....
