I didn't answer the call, but the guy left a voicemail. He said he was from the IRS, and that I would be arrested TODAY if I didn't call him back and settle an "urgent matter." I knew it was a scam from the get-go but called him back just to have some fun. He said his last name was Brown, and he had a heavy accent (probably Southeast Asian). He said I owed back taxes of $75,000 going back eight years, but he was willing to settle for some amount that we didn't get to. After 8-10 minutes, the gig was up when he asked me why I was being so difficult, and I answered that I was trying to consume his time so he couldn't scam someone else. He called me an effing a-hole and said "f u" before hanging up. I've called him back once already and told him he might want to change his number because I was going to "hound the crap" out of him.

Revived a voice mail from heavily accented male stating I or my attorney needed to return the call immediately as I am under investigation for 8 years of tax evasion. If no call was returned then he could only "wish me luck" as I would be arrested by the IRS. The number to call was the same that appeared on the caller ID.
