Revived a voice mail from heavily accented male stating I or my attorney needed to return the call immediately as I am under investigation for 8 years of tax evasion. If no call was returned then he could only "wish me luck" as I would be arrested by the IRS. The number to call was the same that appeared on the caller ID.
Guy tried to tell me his name was officer Carl and he was filing a lawsuit against me for tax fraud I challenges him asked how to spell his name because I was calling th IRS and he hung up on me
The same guy has cslled my number and leaving the same threatening voice mail message. It is ironic but the IRS is currently auditing my 2015 taxes and serms like I will receive a large refund.
Call(s) - 2 days in a row - went to voice mail (I do not answer unless I recognize the name/number shown on my caller id). Both times it was a female voice (heavy accent). Call appears to originate in Port Orchard, Washington (but, who really knows). Threats were the same regarding IRS and suing. Why can this harassment not be stopped?
I received a voice mail today from a fairly heavily accented female with an urgent message that she said was from the IRS and calling regarding my potential fraud case and that if I did not call her back today, a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I looked up this number and vaguely remember hearing about a scam like this and added that number to my reject list. It is alarming to hear IRS, Fraud and Warrant in a message. These people need to be prosecuted. What they are doing seems like fraud. If people send them money, it definitely is.
