Revived a voice mail from heavily accented male stating I or my attorney needed to return the call immediately as I am under investigation for 8 years of tax evasion. If no call was returned then he could only "wish me luck" as I would be arrested by the IRS. The number to call was the same that appeared on the caller ID.
like the others, this call came in and was someone from the IRS. I am not going to lie, they sounded convincing. I got myself all worked up and worried until they told me I owe $4998 and I would need to go to my bank, take out the total in cash, and deposit into an "agents" account. I hung up finally. Came here and saw others got same types of calls. Feel better. I cant believe I almost feel for this [***]!
Said they were IRS (had heavy foreign accent) said they were from IRS and if we didn't respond back we would be arrested!! Don't fall for these calls, am going to block this phone number.
