This number called claiming to be the IRS asking for a person that wasn't even me saying that there was a lawsuit against me for tax evasion. Well, I already paid my taxes and the person you are asking for isn't me. And, why do you sound so angry scam artist person? First of all IRS doesn't call first they send letters, then they'd probably call. Secondly, you're heavy hispanic accent gave you away as a scammer. And, you called from a State that I don't reside in, if you were the IRS you'd be calling from my own state. Silly scammers, hope they get you!!
These guys are not only committing fraud by posing as Microsoft/Windows/PC_Care etc and selling phoney support.
They have also lured unsuspecting people into remote access of their computers by getting them to download Logmein, Teamviewer, GotoMyPC etc. From there, they have total access.
And not only that, they have gone so far as to get bank account numbers, debit and credit card numbers in order to transfer funds (usually through Western Union).
They prey largely on the elderly and are unrelenting.
I know this because I have had to help out several clients who have almost lost large amounts of money to these people.
If you know anyone who might be a little too trusting on the phone, pass along my advice "If someone calls you about anything to do with your computer, HANG UP."
