I played along with this @ Hole because I was aware of this scam. The guy was so bad at his job that I told him I hadn't filed taxes in 10 years since retirement so try again and he hung up. IRS doesn't make it easy to report this type of crime. Guess they don't care that people are stealing their identity. smh Number called, automated 360 566-2212 Number told to call, 360 718-9951
Received an automated call from 360 566-2212 and told I was being sued by the IRS. I was instructed to to call 360 718-9951. Clearly a scam. Do not call this number
and do not provide any information!
Received a call saying they were the IRS and that they were filing a lawsuit against us. Left phone #360-718-9951 to call about more info regarding this file. However, they DID NOT give me a file reference number or anything else. So, that means that I would have to tell them who I am and give them all of my info. My conclusion is that they are a SCAM.
Message left on my answering informing me of a lawsuit filed by the IRS. No file or reference number given. Told to call 360-718-9951 for information. Called the number and heavily accented man answered, with a phone "bank" of people in the background, and asked for last four digits of S/S and my birth date. I refused; told him that I believe the IRS uses certified/registered mail to communicate with people. He finally hung up on me when I didn't "cooperate".
I called the number and told them I was from the FBI in Washington State, and I need their address. They hung up on me. :-) Bout time they are on the other end of the SCAM.
I received the call this morning with an unknown caller id but asking to call 360-718-9951 because the IRS wanted to sue me. They didn't identify who they were calling for and their message sounded automated. Another scam call.
