Also comes through on caller ID as "Service Announc" or "service Message" 402-982-0779 & 206-397-1563. This is a telemarketing agency that is offering loan modifications. Likely got your name and number from some other financial institution that you do business with. So your bank or your credit card company is somehow "affiliated" with this company. In layman's terms that means....they sold your info to someone else and they can get away with it because they are a financial institution that you have done business with. So the Do Not Call list does not apply to them. This company tries to misrepresent itself as having something to do with the government.
That in combination with Real Estate in California at least violates several laws.
This is the most frustrating, irritating, annoying, violating thing ever. This automated call does not adhere to it's "opt out" program ("just press 1", yeah right) and continues to call my home phone number every few days, morning to late afternoon. Even when I pressed a number (5) indicating I wanted to speak to one of there demonic reps, (to let loose a few choice f* bombs and other epithets) it told me that these robots were all "busy with other customers" (yeah, right) and to leave a message. So my foul-mouthed verbal bowel movement was relegated to a answering machine which I hope works. I also registered the number on that useless government Do Not Call list. I'm sure the Feds are just gripping to get a hold of who is doing this, like they could even find out anyway.
Okay, I have the answer. You can contact whomever is your local service provider and get the call blocked through a procedure they walk u thru on the phone.
I researched the company and it comes back to Broadwing Communication in Washington State. When you call that number, "Level 3" Communications answers, someone there will tell you that 360-722-5910 comes back to "Telecom Pacific LLC" in Seattle Washington. Surprise they have no contact info.
So, my local provider told me to report them to the Attorney General's office (in State of California that's Jerry Brown), and I filled out the online form. The state of California is BROKE and needs money, so they will be lovin' to FINE these companies and get them out of our lives for good. I filled it out, you should too.
This site, where we're all coming to post complaints, has accumulated 4+ pages covering several months of time and noting these different names.....so what gives ?
Received a call from this number today at 11:31 AM. Did not answer as I have no clue who it is, and I tend not to answer numbers I don't know. Have not checked voice mail yet to see if there's a message of any kind...guessing that there might not be one. They have not yet called back...but again guessing that they'll try again sometime. And I still won't answer the phone.
