I just got a call from this number too saying IRS, I called back they transferred me to a Stephen staphler then to a Benjamin at 773-377-6171 going in depth on how they are filing a lawsuit against me from IRS for $1600. Kinda freaked me out - called my accountant and attorney. Can't we file suit against them for this type of fraud.
Called them back after reading this as I got the IRS phone call. Man with broken english answered and I asked for their official website. He said "Why do you want our official website?". I responded that I had received a call that sounded threatening and wanted to verify they were not a scam. He said "Well you are talking to me". When I repeated that I wanted their official website, he got off the phone FAST!
Just called my home phone and left a message - this is not the first time these scammers have tried their "IRS is suing you, please call this number" scheme. Write down the number, block it (if possible), and report them to the FTC! https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt
