I live in NY and got 2 calls from the "IRS stating this is a final notice giving you warning that the iRS is filing a law suit against you." I had a feeling this was BOGUS SO DIDN'TCALL BACK BUT SIMPLY DID THIS INTERNET SEARCH WHICH VERIFIED MY HUNCH. Thank you to the creator of this site.
Received the call today, same as above, final notice, IRS suing me. I knew it was a scam as I have not received any prior notifications from the IRS via mail. Filed fraud notice with the US Treasury Dept.
The same thing happened to me. They claimed that they were the IRS and they were going to sue me. They left a phone number of 360-262-6247. When you call the number back, it tells you that the number you dialed is not in service.
This is a scam.
