I received a call from this number this morning and let it go to voicemail. Same story as everyone above. However, I am a Tax Preparer and know that the IRS does not call. Called them back and let them know that they would be reported to the IRS as a scam. Hopefully, that will put an end to it.
I called them back & said, "You have been reported to the IRS & Sheriff Dept. You will be out of a job, you will be arrested & handcuffed at 4pm today!!" BOOM!
They're still at it. Claimed to be from the IRS. Indian guy. When I told him he was a ******* scammer he started yelling and said he was going to come hurt me, I told him to quit talking about it and come give it a try. He cussed a little more then hung up.
Yes, they're still at it. Robo call voicemail message left on my landline this morning was from "Officer June Smith of the IRS", threatening a grand jury investigation, appearance before a magistrate judge, etc. Don't waste your time or money responding to this telephone scam by an IRS imposter -- report the call to the IRS or FTC!
