Received a call yesterday and today. Yesterday I tried to call back, and the message said it was a non-working number. I picked up today, but heard nothing before I hung up.
Called and I answered. Recording stating they were from Google verifying businesses.
I pressed 1 since I am a business owner. A second recording stated they could only talk to a business owner, and the person responsible for Marketing. I pressed 1 again since that is me. I was transferred to a well spoken, individual and he asked immediately, "Are you the business owner?" I responded with, "Yes" and the individual hung up immediately. I am pretty sure I got phished and will now get spam to my cell phone. Great!
Getting a lot of these type calls lately. Thought our cell phone numbers were protected provided we didn't give it out a lot, which I don't. Any list available I can put my number on so these don't happen?
Got call from this number, said it was Google+ calling looking for business owner. This is third call I got from Google+. This time I pressed #1 and got connected with a guy and when I told him my number is not a business, he hung up. Someone should get hold of Google and tell them they have a spammer -- they can track him down and pull the plug.
