Got a call from this number ?? I didn't answer but they left a message saying they were IRS and I was under investigation and that my property and assets were going to be seized and there was a warrant for my arrest . To call them back. I didn't call them back because I know I file my taxes every year. I don't owe IRS anything. I knew it was a scam! I had a call last year from a different number and it was the same scam. Not falling for it.
Called this morning and threatened to arrest me because of tax fraud! Called back and they answered and it sounded like a person at basketball game. It was so loud.
Same message left for me on my phone today saying I would be arrested and that my home was being watched. So, since regions bank had recently sent out letters saying that some of their reporting to the IRS over a 5 year period had been incorrect, I called the number back. The guy who answered knew my name, number and address. I told him I needed to know what this was regarding because I've had the same tax accountant for the last 18 years and I needed to be able to explain to him what I was being told....what he said next was total gibberish-his accent was so thick I didn't catch a single word and when I finally got his attention by speaking over him repeatedly and loudly, saying I can't understand you, the a$$ hung up on me!
I really should have known it was a scam when an automated woman tells me specifically, that I'll be arrested and that I'm being watched. These people need to be caught and prosecuted-this number has been in service since at the least June 2016 by this walls postings.
