Received a call from this phone number at 5pm today, showing a caller i.d. of "Texas." I did not answer the call because the number was unfamiliar to me. No message was left.
Called 3:25 pm CDT today. Said this was the 3rd notification that we owed $3000. When questioned, they hung up. Call comes out of Beesville, TX. Call back showed number not in use. Guessing probably a throw away phone. Police said they had no other calls so far.
Says they are cardmember services and have tried numerous times to contact me and this is my final attempt, then proceeds to say it concerns balance transfers no less then 3,000 at 6%. Press 1 to continue. I continued, the girl who answered I told her that I was not interested and they should not be calling since I am on the do not call list. She promptly hung up. When I call the number back it says it's not valid
I did answer and it was a credit card company calling to say that this is the final notification to lower my interest rate for my credit card. They did not identify the cr. card compny.
I had the same call today and same message. Just be careful not to give out any inforamtion. Ithink they are trying to get your card number and other personal information. I recieved a call from a Jamaican area code saying that my card has charges and they need to verify to make sure I made those charges. Dont's ever give out information, find out what bank they say they are calling from and contact you bank.
