At 4 pm on Friday 07 October 2011 I received a phone message from a Mr. Johnson who knew my name and identified himself as from the Federal Department of [Law?] Investigation. It was hard to understand through his thick accent which I could not identify. He told me to not disregard the call and to call back 386-308-3640 (which is the number he called from) regarding time-sensitive lawsuits and if I didn't, he couldn't help me and wished me good luck as the situation unfolds on me. Fortunately, I know none of this is true and did not bother returning his call. I do not know what his motive is.
This person claimed to be from a lawyers office I never heard of in Daytona Beach (he acted like I should know). Told me there was a problem with my social security number. I told him I don't know him, or this lawyer. I told him I was going to have the call traced now and was going to hang up.
He yelled at me to go ahead and have it traced.
I got a similar type call a few months ago on my telephone message machine while I was out from someone who said he was Albert Johnson and to call him at 760-920-6752. He said it was second time he called, my mother received a call a few days earlier, but he didn't leave a message and hung up on her when she asked who it was. The recording sounds like a script, there is noise in the background, and the person speaks with a strange accent. The gist of the message was: I should have Me or my Attorney call him, it is time sensitive. If he doesn't hear from Me or my Attorney he wishes me good luck as the situation unfolds on me, and wish me good luck in the court house.
I tried to call the number he left and I got a recording saying the "number cannot be completed as dialed". I looked it up at a reverse phone number webpage, it said the phone number was a cell phone registered with Verizon Wireless in Bishop, CA. I called Verizon and told them the situation, and was told they could do nothing about it.
look this number up on white pages on internet said it was possible a land line from Daytona Beach but I would have to pay 1.99 to get the information so i feel if it was a real company and that this guy was a lawyer they would be listed in the white pages by name. Yea I am headed to try an file criminal charges first thing Monday morning
This person has been harrassing us over the phone saying that we were in big legal trouble and we needed to speak with him because he works for the F.B.I. . I reported that number to the police .
I received a call from Mr. Johnson this afternoon from (386)308-3640 stating the same thing that I had taken out a internet payday loan for the sum of some 2thousand $$ and he was going to sue me, blah,blah,blah after I began to question him, he got flustered and upset and began calling me names, his accent was VERY hard to understand and english was VERY broken he had my address, last 4 of my SS# and the bank I have a checking account at, this is a crime and I reported it to the local police who said I needed to make a complaint with the FBI at this web site www.ic3.gov so ALL of you out there do the same so these SCUM BAGS can be caught for this [***].......
