At 4 pm on Friday 07 October 2011 I received a phone message from a Mr. Johnson who knew my name and identified himself as from the Federal Department of [Law?] Investigation. It was hard to understand through his thick accent which I could not identify. He told me to not disregard the call and to call back 386-308-3640 (which is the number he called from) regarding time-sensitive lawsuits and if I didn't, he couldn't help me and wished me good luck as the situation unfolds on me. Fortunately, I know none of this is true and did not bother returning his call. I do not know what his motive is.
I just got a call from this number to my google voice number that I never use. They actually did leave a voice mail which google graciously transcribed for me:
"Hi, This message is for Anne White and if this is Mr. Johnson, I'm alive for the whole thing swale from It's about a legal Metro fraud case home What, Tanya he man and see has been get supplies your name and number as I get into the falsely snobs is just like to another from the situation, and ask for the law and rules and regulation as you are enrolled, as against your list, You're authorized person to prove yourself in the pool, and if something goes wrong with you. Just because of without any man that don't blame on the in future. Just contact me And what time he meant to contact me as well, from outside from your side as well. ON (386) 308-3640 1(386) 308-3640 For the next. Thirty minutes. I'd like to make sure that You'll get to see if you're still vault. Thank you."
Obviously, this made no sense so I listened to the audio...which didn't help much. The guy had a terribly thick accent but said his name was "Mr. Johnson" (hey! Tha'ts my name too!) from some indicernable law firm. He said he was looking for "Annie White" because Tanya someone listed my name and number as a guaranteed reference for her and that there's some sort of fraud issue with "Metro" something or other and that I, as "Anne", will be responsible somehow for Tanya's indiscressions. And if I do get in trouble, I can't "blame on him." I'm supposed to call Mr. Johnson back in the next 30 minutes so he can help me otherwise I'll recieve in very much trouble.
Shoot! It's been almost an hour now...I guess I can't blame on him. It's my own fault for letting this Tanya person to use my name and number as I get into the falsely snobs...err...I mean it's my own fault for letting Tanya use my name and number as a guaranteed reference in fraud. Geez, I gotta stop doing that. My wife would be ticked if she found out!
My favorite part is, he was trying to imply that I would be guilty by association. Because someone picked a random number (kinda like "Mr. Johnson" is doing) the person with that number could be implicated in fraud. The least he could have blamed me! OY!
I just got a similar call..he left a voicemail. Said they had a "serious issue" against me. Like the comments before mine, I had great difficulty understanding through the accent. He said if I didn't call back he could only wish me good luck.
I got a message from officer johnson earlier today and when I just called back he said he is not an officer but a lawyer. The call was for about half an hour as I kept questioning him on things. He wanted me to have my lawyer contact him and I said I refuse to do that because in America I can represent myself in court he said no I cant. I questioned him where he went to law school at and he avoided the question by stating this is not about him but its about me. I also told him these are scam calls and I want them to stop it was at this point that he said he is going to press charges against me. I asked what charges and he said thats for me to find out. He said he is going to file the charges where I live but when I questioned him where exactly he is going to file them he couldnt tell me where he just said where I live. This is supposedly over a 300 dollar loan I got from a company called payday cash and when I asked him for their number he said he cant disclose that info. I told him I am going to contact my bank and get copies of my records for last yr, when I supposedly got this loan, and he kept saying no dont go to your bank just have your lawyer call me. I told him I was going to my bank because that would be my proof in court and he once again told me I cant go to court without a lawyer in the country of Barack Obama! I laughed and he got rather upset at me. He then told me I better enjoy my weekend because in 48 hours he is going to sue me for 2 months whatever that means. He asked if I have small children because if I do then he can just sue me for 1 month. I had a call like this a couple of months ago from a number from colorado and the guy sounded just like this guy so I will see what happens. I was told the same thing back then that in 48 hours I would be in alot of trouble and going to jail for a very long time. Kind of weird that they both said the same thing and the 1st time nothing happened.
