I've received several calls from this number in one day...absolute bullsock. I am so sick and tired of data-mining companies and companies you actually do business with selling your personal information to these b*stards.
While this site and many others are very helpful I must agree with Murray "After posting on this site, my question is, what good does this site do? Are these comments forwarded to anyone who can do anything about these calls, or is this info just to make people feel good that they are not alone?"
Also, the best thing to do when you receive these calls is to hang-up. As AirHornBrigade mentioned - they use your button pushing to verify your number is active and in some instances they can even use your button pushing as permission to access your personal info.
This number has been calling in the evening for the past two days. When I pick up an automated message wants to inquire about an auto warranty. I'm not picking up the phone anymore, wish the calls would stop. Is the FCC going to do anything about this?
Get calls like this all the time. I have challenged them every time but they always yell something hateful and hang up. I finally called the State Attorney General this morning, waiting for a call back. This must be a scam, i think ultimately ending up with them asking for your credit card number.
