For some reason they are calling my mother's house asking for me and I haven't lived there for over 7 years. I'm on the do not call list and so is my mother. Just stop being a headache.
The recorded message when I answered said to please stay on the line, that they'd been trying to reach me and so on, and to press 1 to hold for an operator. Being not busy, I pressed the 1 to see what happened. When an operator came on minutes and minutes later she asked my name and address. I replied that first I'd like to know what CC company she was collecting for as I believe the call was in error. She said, "Fine, then" and hung up on me. When I tried to return call the # discovered it was a call out only number. I strongly suspect a SCAM.
Me again -- posted just a moment ago and forgot something. Just minutes before this (386) number called I received a call from (775) 412-4499 and when I answered there was just dead air, but not an open line. After about a minute it clicked that whomevere it was disconnected. I suspect the first call was phishing to see if somebody was home answering the phones and the 2nd number was the scammers.
