Chris Tucker called asking for the owner by first name. When I asked who was calling, "It is Chris Tucker from Tucker Group returning his call".
I said he didn't call you Chris. His response "are you Mike, how do you know he didn't call me, just kindly put him on the phone."
I said no I'm sorry that's not going to happen. His response "Okay pumpkin, just put him on the phone" .....grrrrrr PUMPKIN!!
After 5 attempts at asking to speak with Mike, he said "never mind, I'll call him on his cell".
My response.....good luck with that one buddy!
Received a call from this person by the name of Austin for the president of our company who receives a lot of cold calls and sales calls. Austin said "he needed to speak to the president (asked for him by his first name) said he needed to talk to him about some accounts." Well of course the president does not handle the account side of his business, so i asked for a little more information, per this Austin "it is about a couple of accounts". I asked what type of accounts... really nice person he then hung up the phone on me! Can this not be more unprofesssional and rude!! The worst thing a person who is trying to get their foot in the door so to speak is hang up on the president's personal assistant! I like many other personal assistant's keep a log of such calls and circulate them throughout our company of calls that are rude and or unprofessional. It is always best to be professional and show you are of good character that you have etiquette!
Yes, we just got a call from this number asking for our president by name, who happened not to be in the office today. Guy did not identify himself. I offered our president's voice mail, and asked if there was somebody else I could have help him. He hung up on me. Not 3 minutes later, phone rings with the same number on the call display. I answered, same voice asked for the president. I began to say he was not in today and jerk-face hung up on me before the sentence was finished coming out of my mouth. Next time that number shows up on my call display when the phone rings, the receiver will be picked up and immediately SLAMMED DOWN HARD in his ear.
We received a call from this number today. The male calling asked to speak to the president by name; and reception transferred the call. When president answered the call the caller said: "I heard you were the person to speak with about a loan for $50,000.00". The president said no and have a great day; and hung up.
WARNING TO ALL!!!!!!
I just received a call from this business. "Chris" would not give me his last name. He also asked for the president of my company. Glad I googled it, he will not be getting through. He said he was calling from Hopper, Alvin & Associates and sounded like a law firm. Sneaky buggers!
