Chris Tucker called asking for the owner by first name. When I asked who was calling, "It is Chris Tucker from Tucker Group returning his call".
I said he didn't call you Chris. His response "are you Mike, how do you know he didn't call me, just kindly put him on the phone."
I said no I'm sorry that's not going to happen. His response "Okay pumpkin, just put him on the phone" .....grrrrrr PUMPKIN!!
After 5 attempts at asking to speak with Mike, he said "never mind, I'll call him on his cell".
My response.....good luck with that one buddy!
This number called, asked for my boss by first name, and identified himself as Justin with Tucker & Associates. When I inquired what it was in reference to, he stated two different things. First, "We are just passing through..." Then fumbled on his words and said, " I am returning his call." My boss asks me to screen all calls for him if I have never heard of the company. I asked my boss if he called Justin with Tucker and Associates and he asked, "Who with who?" We knew it was bologna to begin with. After researching Tucker and Associates, this is a company that wants to try to improve your business. We have asked them to stop calling here several times and in the past even had to call the number back and speak to the owner of the building that owned the phone number extensions to stop them from calling. They have found a way around that. We either immediately hang up on them or put them on hold until they hang up. Telemarketers that call businesses are 10 times worse than those that call your home.
I just got a call from this number as well. Woman said her name was Chelsea, and that she was a commercial collection agency. Said they could get debt recovery from my slowest accounts in five days and they had the best rates. I tried explaining to her that we have no open accounts, except for government agencies, but she still wanted to give me her pitch. I kept telling her, I only get cash and credit cards, except for purchase orders from govt agencies. She said, I know you don't have problems now, but you might later. How can I have problems with collecting, when no one leaves without paying me? I finally hung up on her.
said his name was Matthew from Tucker Alvin (caller id said 401-223-7321 Providence RI) and asked for my boss. initially said that it was in regards to a client owing us money. started back peddling when I asked for the specific client (I handle all past due collections for our company). then launched into his spiel about how he doesn't get paid until he collects... yada yada yada. cut him short and told him that I would pass the info on to my boss and he would call if he was interested (he won't). matthew gave a call back number of 469-424-3033 x 567. sorry dude, why would I have you do something that I already do?
Asked for owner by first name only. I had to ask who was calling & from where. Said Tucker Albin then hung up on me when I asked what it was in reference to. Can't wait for them to call back.
