Received a call which showed Out of Area. When I picked it up it was the credit card automated message. I hung up immediately but am wondering why I am all of a sudden getting these calls. I pay my credit card bills in full each month.
Sounds phishy to me. Your credit card company would Identify themselves and provide a verifiable proof (card number/ account number and or which bank) to the fact they are legit. Never volunteer these, its what their after. Report these calls to the Attorney General's Office of your state first along with a record of times and dates. Your chances of stopping these calls is better using this step first as the Federal Do Not Call people will suggest you do so. This is from personal experience.
I wish they would stop calling. I'm on the National Do Not Call Regristry. I have reported them on the Do Not Call Registry, but they still keep calling. Some times it is a different number but the same people calling. Every time I report them they use a different number. Imposible to get rid of these calls.
I am tired of getting phone calls i do not want. Why, in a free country don't we have control over who calls our phones? I do not pick the phone up unless i recognize the caller. I just don't like my privacy invaded by these MANY calls.
