Have been getting calls from this number. I never answer, and no message is ever left. I'm on the Do Not Call list, so what else can we do to stop this???
My elderly mother gets TONS of calls from telemarketers. I got her a very loud whistle to blow in their ears and these types of calls have greatly diminished, although it took a couple of weeks of consistently blowing the whistle. This number (401-396-1356), however, is a recording about lowering the interest rate on your credit card; no human to blast. So I added it to her list of blocked numbers on Verizon. The scammers will, in all probability, change numbers, so it's just something I have to keep up on for her. These people really prey on the elderly because many of them sound so legit. Help the senior citizens in your life by reminding them NEVER to give out credit or other personal information to anyone who calls them, and never to respond to offers they receive via email or snail mail. If they are curious about an offer, encourage them to call the number ON their credit card or statement.
I was called but didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. Looks like I did the right thing. I love Caller ID. I will report it to the 'Do Not Call' people but it won't do any good.
They left no message here but next time I may answer just to see if I can get a real person on the line. Then ask him about his smallish organ lol Fing scammers can kiss my... well yaknow
