Today just seems to be my day for this &*%&^; I reported 2 other calls earlier. Those I couldn't get to in time, but this time the phone was sitting right next to me so I answered it. A recorded message went on and on about how the federal government had just lowered interest rates so now was a good time to do this on my credit cards, then said "Press 1 to lower your interest rate." So I pressed 1. Got a live male person who said something like "you want to lower your interest rate?" My reply was "This number is on the Do Not Call registry. Please don't call it again." He hung up before I even finished speaking. Time to file complaint #3 for today...
One thing I want to mention about these is, besides being annoying they aren't all legitimate; some are just phishing scams looking for information so they can steal your identity. So even if you really do want to lower your credit card interest rates this isn't the way to do it.
I just got a call from that # too! They left a voice mail saying my last chance to sign up or i'll lose my elegbility. I saw Fidelity some where (ins co.?) on the caller ID or in the voice mail. I have no business with them at all.

1. Go into your Verizon Wireless Account on-line. "My Verizon" (Please make sure you have an account all ready or you just created an account)

Then Go To "My Services"

Choose the SPAM Control: There you can add up to 5 phone numbers that you do not want to contact you. This also prevents these #s from text messaging you.
*Press APPLY then you are done. They block these #s for 3 months at a time. So you will have to repeat the steps in 3 months.
*To Unblock these #s, do the same exact steps as above, except just delete the number you want to unblock. Press "APPLY" and the number is unblocked.
I pressed "1" to talk to the live voice, and when he picked up, he said "Account Manager, may I help you?". I asked who they were and why they were calling my number, and he says:
Him: "Because you eat pickles."
Me: "Whaaaaa?"
Him: "Yes sir, you eat pickles all day long. Chomp chomp chomp."
