i called back this number after they called me. I was asked for a ssn# and refused to give it, i was then asked for m checking account number and last 4 of ssn# to pull up my account. i gave it, and asked what "DDA" stood for? the woman told me it was "demand deposit account" or in lay terms "checking account." turns out my account was actually overdrawn with charter one bank and the lady was able to put me on a payment plan to repay my balance and put a freeze on my account to stop the fees. i am actually really glad i called back. i asked about "citizens bank" and was told that it is also part of "RBS" which is a bigger bank that owns both companies.
My bank called back. Both 401 468 5596 and 888 333 8229 are valid Citizens Bank telephone numbers. In my case, they dialed my number by accident. I told the woman from the bank that they musy dial a lot of wrong numbers!
I just called it from a land line and it says "Thank you for calling consumer loans" I wouldn't be to sure if it is Citizens Bank like the others say....be careful of these calls when you are not too sure. If they do not leave a message that is a for sure sign.
Just got a call from this number -- this is a brand new cell phone number, so I have NO idea how they got it. They left a general message... the way I looka t it, if its important enough for me to call back, you'd leave something with a little more substance. CLICK!
Call came at first from 401 468-5596. Wanted wife's info. Told him she's not home. He gave me # 888 441-2894 to call. We did, got some Mid Eastern that had trouble with English. She wanted personal info.BEWARE.
