they are a bunch of cons trying to rip people off..they are the people u want to keep out of your house..drug addits..please everyone for your saftey report them..they steal your personal information and take out credit cards and all kinds of other illegal activity..most employees are from priosn for drugs, robbery,ect..bad news..vms is not good..
Caller ID said the call was from "VMS" and I answered it. Lady said I won a free security system. After speaking with her, I got suspicious and tried calling the number back - got a "not in service message." Other websites think this is a scam to find houses to target for a break in. I have a call in to my local police to discuss what happened and see what can be done.
They call first from a blocked number pretending to do a survey on smoke detectors. Then they call back telling you you have won a home security system with free installation. You simply pay "about a dollar a day" for monitoring.

All of the above has happened to me, too.
Initial call, about a week ago, asked me to complete a survey on smoke detectors. Then beginning the next day, they've called daily (today they called twice). Each time it is a different operator. When I tell them upfront that we are on the FCC "Do Not Call" list, they hang up (rude). Today I kept the guy on the phone & explained to him that we already have a security system and that our number should be removed from the company's call list. He told me he could only remove me from HIS list (note that I've spoken to a different person during each call I received). I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager - he said there wasn't one available. I told him that he needs to inform someone immediately and that I was reporting the calls to the FCC, which I just did.
I recommend everyone out there experiencing calls from "VMS" to file a complaint with the FCC. Here's the link to the website:
