Someone called my wife from this number and told her that I was in an accident and badly bleeding. He said I supposedly hit his brother's BMW and his brother is about to shoot me for it. My wife texted me while talking to him, and after learning that everything is fine with me told him to call 911 and hang up.
does it have to be reported to police or it is useless?
I received a similar call and so did my wife. Two more people reported same kind of calls. We definitey ought to call the police.
I doubt that this is a prank - rather phishers. Question - how did they get the ##? What else did they get about us? With whom do they share the info. Need to call the police
Same thing happened to me as well while being home with my 2 young children 5 Mos and 2 years old I was really shaken and so was my family and now it has cause confusion in my family
The same thing just happended to me, with the same exact stuff, except with my brother, this guy was just trying to get money off of you, i honestly called like 3 different police departments.
