This is a legitimate number from State Farm Claims, was regarding an accident between me and my neighbor. And regarding police reports, they need verbal confirmation from the parties about where liability is for fault for the claim process to go forward.
Just received a call from this number claiming they were an insurance company (apparently State Farm).
The person asked me questions about an accident I had with one of their clients - but it was weird because he asked me to give the name of this client (which I know from the copy of the police report, and I believe it should be in the insurance files since I filed a claim with them).
I told him to ask for a copy of the police report directly at the Police Department.
The same thing happened to me, the phone rang and when i went to answer it hung up. Its funny though, about a month ago my wife was in an accident and our insurance is through state farm...can you say CONSPIRACY!
Just received a voice mail from this number saying they were from State Farm and they were calling about an accident involving another person's name that was not mine. They told me to call back an 888 number but I did not.
