yep, got exact same call..I asked the woman 3x for her name and all 3x it was this is the Chamber of Commerce..She wante dme toverify address of business, I told her I had this same conversation with someone else and they should have it on file. (No, I didn't have conversation previously, that was a lie..LOL) She, then said she'd make a note of it and that was it.
Just received a call from this number. Quickly googled and saw the posts and decided to answer.
After a short pause a woman said she was looking for our company by name and asked if that was us. I said yes. She rattled off our address and asked if it were correct. I said no, even though it was. She asked for our correct address. I asked her who she was and she said she was updating information for the Chamber of Commerce. I asked "what Chamber of Commerce" she said "the American Chamber of Commerce". I said that I have never heard of them. She said okay and hung up.
Just wondering if your number was truly removed after you left your info when you called back. did you stop getting calls from from these annoying people or are they still calling you? I'm asking because we have a private unpublished number but I got 4 calls from the same number in less than 2 hours!
I told them we had 70000 employees, told her she was in charge and she kept asking questions. Asked if our business was education and I told her no we are drug dealers. A loud whistle or blaring radio really gets them mad.
I just received a call from them. Some guy who seemed half asleep asked me information. I asked who he was and he said he was updating info for the Chamber of Commerce. As I do not live in Nebraska I hung up on him. After reading these posts I am glad I did.
Just got a call from this number. They asked if it was such and such office (of which they horribly misprounounced which it the first tip off that it could be shady). I said yes. Then they asked for the name of the owner and manager. When I asked why, they said they were calling from the American Chamber of Commerce and offered no other info, just immediately asked for the same information. I didn't like it so I said "no" and hung up.
