yep, got exact same call..I asked the woman 3x for her name and all 3x it was this is the Chamber of Commerce..She wante dme toverify address of business, I told her I had this same conversation with someone else and they should have it on file. (No, I didn't have conversation previously, that was a lie..LOL) She, then said she'd make a note of it and that was it.
Same as above... After a bunch of these calls I pretended to have a stutter, after ssstttuuuttteeerrriiinnnnggg for 5 minutes or so I told her to hang on.Then I got a AIR HORN ready and started stuttering very low... I kept saying to her "ccccaaannn''ttt hhheeaarrr yyyooouuu, then gave her a nice long blast of the horn. Wasted 7 minutes of HER time. And had some fun too.
1-402-529-5055 they called and hung up. The posts are pretty funny ... chamber of commerce ???updating is a new one. Updating what and for whom and who the hell gives a rats [***]. These calls get more crazy every week. If you give them any info they will pass it on. Funny stuff.
The company is "gotleib."
Their mission statement is that they protect you from threat of emanate domain by apprasing your shop for the highest value.
So, if the county wants to pay you pennies on the dollar to take away your land, you can fight.
They call themselves the american chamber of comm. If you confuse them with "the u.s. chamber" you should remember that the u.s. chamber is not the official "federal trade comm."
I think the biggest threat of this deceiving company is that your own city or county is using them to trick you into suggesting that your property is not being taxed to its full amount.
They are the American Chamber of Commerce. Don't give them any information. They "Publish" your information and every telemarketer in American will have your business' number. FOLKS CHECK NUMBERS BEFORE YOU ANSWER QUESTIONS. These people are leaches and business owner's don't have time for their nonsense!!
SCAM, Pretending to be from chamber of commerce before you start talking they want to verify address - once they have you believe they are updating their info , they will record your voice and bill you
