Called at 8pm 3/18/16, and the following afternoon at 2pm. I didn't bother answering either one. Looked up their number and first match was to this site.
They just called me. They told me they were taking a Gallup Poll for US celluar, that they knew I was in last week at the US Cell office (which I was), and knew my first and last name! US Celluar is selling names. This is crap! I better not get harrassing calls or US Cell will be changing my number for free and I will be taking the name selling up to management at US Cell.
They have been calling me often. I answered the 3rd time and it was Gallup polls. I refused my time and hung up but they keep calling. My guess is they are only calling registered voters. It shows as Omaha, NE on called ID. I bet it is trying to get vote info from people because they are all upset about this Trump character. Screw them all, I may not vote for the first time in over 30 years because the choices all suck but i sure won't help the crooks that have been screwing us for decades - all current politicians must be fired and we have to start over.
Anyone can dial your cell phone number. It is just several digits, same pattern as all other phone numbers. If the caller does not know your name, then it is a "cold call" where the caller might be phishing to try to find out who is using that number.
I have a primary cell phone and a backup cell phone, very few people/businesses have either number, and I get very few unwanted calls - and those are all scam calls, not legitimate businesses.
