They called I didn't answer as I don't have time on a Friday night especially Good Friday & they called me @ 9:13 PM. Wtf?!!! My caller ID stated it was the Gallup Poll = politics. IDC which politician it is, don't fn call me after 9pm especially on a holiday weekend!!
Same as some of you. I never give out my number and definately not my location to Google maps. Glad to see this is just as a annoyance and bizarre thing for some of you as well... at the least I know this is just current based off the calls matched with your posts.
402-829-9104 is a scammer and the number is most likely only available for a short time for this scammer. Because scammers use phone numbers for a short time - dump them - then get a new number this way when you waste your precious time reporting them they are on to a new number long before any agency can track them down. And the number you see is often NOT the real number they call from they pay a service to have that number appear on your caller ID. This is why people here all have a different experiences ( different businesses calling them) from the same number.
seriously folks when was the last time you heard of ANY business (I mean scammer) getting fined for calling people on DoNotCallList - how about never.
Best advice NEVER pick up an incoming call from a person or number you don't recognize and especially from a business - if they are legit you will get a message and typically a toll free call back number for you to respond and call back.
Once you pick up your number is recorded as an active number and often sold.
Just block the number and report on these online boards to help others.
