Called, said they were a member of WSFS bank and wanted customer service on a recent transaction but gave no other specific details. Told me the whole conversation was being recorded, asked if I was the 'financial leader of the household,' but I gave them no details. They asked when a better time to call back was and I said I wasn't sure of my schedule so they hung up.
A guy called from the above telephone #. 402-829-9112. He told me it was a Gallup poll survey so I consented and answered numerous questions he asked including my name, email address, educational background and even my annual salary scale. I later mentioned about the call to my daughter. She said it might be a scam (the caller did not asked me anything about politics). I am worried that the information I gave the caller could be used to compromise my identity. What steps should I take to ascertain the legitimacy of this Gallup poll and if it is legit, to prevent my identity being used for fraud. HELP.
