When I stopped his schpeel and asked him for his certification credentials he gave me the number 0115 ..I laughed and told him I got my MCP credentials in 2000 and was issued an 8 digit number back then. He exclaimed back "you are no certified technician!" and hung up.
Indian woman called from "Tech Support" saying my computer was sending out a lot of errors. I have gotten this call before and wanted to see how far they would go. First they tell me to bring up a run box and type in Eventvwr. I did this and it brought up multiple errors. Then this Indian guy gets on the line and wants me to go to www.fastsupport.com which brings you up to a Remote Access Port. DO NOT let a Stranger access your computer. I asked how I was supposed to know that they were actually from Microsoft support. After multiple times asking I was told FU and was hung up on.
