these guys have been harassing me for 7 months to pay on an out-of-statute account. they have threatened lawsuits several times and I basically tell 'em, "bring it"...and its funny, they never do. they can't validate the debt or send me any identifying info...they keep re-reporting the debt as "new" on my reports though- that has to be illegal...Im fianlly disputing it thru the credit agencies. These guys are crooks. Don't send 'em a dime- they'll ask you for your bank numebsr so they can suck the money out of your account.
I recieved two phone calls from a guy named Glenn Johnson saying I better call him back that day. He said someone else's first name so I assumed he called the wrong number and didn't call back. Then I got another message with an 800 number that doesn't work where I am. I called long distance to leave a message and I told them to leave a detailed message about what it was regarding and my phone number. Now I see that this place is fishy. I will be letting my lawyer's office know tomorrow.
No offense but it's not the bank's fault you fell for a scam. You can truly be arrested for passing a bad check.Depending what the statute of limitations is in your state, they can indeed take you to court over this if it is within it.
