These idiots are calling looking for my GF they claim to be from "the law firm" . My GF and I are not married or anything, we just live in the sames house. Thing is, they called my CELL PHONE. My GF and My bills have NEVER been together and there is no legal reason for them to have any of my information as our finances are completely SEPARATE. I filed a complaint with the FTC. I'm not putting up with this crap.
These people called me on several occasions. According the the credit laws, they can not take any legal action if you never talk to them or call them back. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE BACK!! I have had numerous phone calls from them, only ignoring them.
Anyway, I contacted my lawyer about the harassing phone calls, and asked him to check and see if these people are a legit legal firm. They are a legal firm who garnish wages and things of this nature due to debts that had been sold from the original companies. My attorney sent them a letter saying they can no longer contact me and can only go through my attorney. Well these geniuses called me back today. This was after my attorney left a message on Mr. Thomas' voicemail, faxed them a letter, and also mailed them a letter, all in the same day. According to credit laws, this is against the law to contact me by phone anymore, yet the did anyway. My attorney is located in GA, where these people are located, and said we will either settle for the amount of my debt, or sue these [***] for breaking the law and also report them to the state bar. If this happens, they will be investigated and could possibly loose his license to practice law in the state of GA.
This firm called looking for my husband's ex-wife.
I returned the call and she(Ms Paschal) was very polite.
I was nice enough to give her the mother's phone number since her daughter had ruined so many lives, I thought she should know what a "dead beat" her daughter really turned out like.
All in all, the company employee was very polite and she was only doing her job.
