This is the second time this has happened in two years. I don't know if it's the 404 area code or what, but there was another scam a year ago with a phone number starting with 4043811. I know because that is my phone number minus my area code. I have gotten four calls now looking for CVS.. I'm not CVS. So I check up on it and find this. This happened last year and it was another scammer with another company phishing for personal information. that one was an actual proven scam, and it sounds like this one is too. So I'm informing people that call me in hopes they don't continue to try and call this number back.
CVS Caremark calling to ask if I want to receive medicine in the mail. No, I don't. If I did, I would let them know.
They say it's cheaper, no, some of the medicine we take is cheaper at the pharmacy.
Oh my goodness, that was the stupidest robocall ever. "If you want to keep spending too much by going to the pharmacy, press 1. If you want to save money, press 2." I chose the only sensible option: I hung up.
That system must have been designed by the folks who put together those political "push polls", you know, when a robot asks "Press 1 if you want to destroy the country with [opposition's awful plan], press 2 to protect yourself from [perceived mortal threat]".
My opinion of CVS/Caremark just dropped a notch... and I thought I was on the bottom notch already. Guess they carved another one just for me. :/
I got a robo call from them. I got a prompt to talk to a person so i did. I get meds from Caremark . Robo call wanted to know if i wanted to start getting meds for 90 days at a time to save me money. Robo call wanted my name and birthdate and address and zip code which i gave them since i deal with caremark. The person asked me all the same questions and i told her i already get my meds 90 days at a time. She took my number and said she would check into why i got that call and call me back but she never did. Hope it wasn't someone wanting my info that shouldn;t have it. Lady was very nice and polite.
