They are full of crap, constantly calling and super rude, they answer by saying hello and they just say you owe a debit you owe a debit. They wont mail you anything they want you to pay over the phone or it's going to garnish your wages by midnight tonight,. Just hang up on them they are Stupid. Who even writes check anymore?!
When she called me she told me it was in regards to a check that I wrote 13 years ago. She texted me a copy of the check and it is one that I wrote, but I'm pretty sure it got paid and it is was written when I lived in California. I checked to see what the statute of limitations is in California and its 4-6 years. Also the check was for $20 but she said that with the NSF fees and credit collection fees, I now owed $190. I told her this was crazy and she said that if I paid today they would knock it down to $140. She also had me go to a website that they have and when I put in the account number she told me to all of my info popped up. So confused as to who these people are!!
My check was apparently written in 1996. 20 years ago! I have never bounced a check. They said this one was to Subway. I get this call everyday, and they tell me that they will stop calling, but for 2 weeks now, it hasn't. And sometimes I get more than 1 call per day. Time to figure out who they are so they can get sued. I asked for a mailing address and a website, but "Melba" says she is new and doesn't know this information.
They tried calling before and after looking them up here, the next time I actually talked to somebody and took up a good 25 min of the lowlife caller's time pretending to fall for it. The more time you make them waste, the more money they lose. I ended the call telling them there was a special place in hell for people like them.
