Called business number around 6 pm. CID says "Tax Help Center." Let call go to voice mail. Female voice immediately begins chattering about tax stuff while voice mail greeting plays. Voice mail not yet recording but caller's voice rattling on at the same time as the greeting. When voice mail does begin recording it picks up the last half of the message - standard nonsense about programs ending soon, etc. Idiots.
Asked how much I owe the IRS. I made up a number that wasn't high enough. She said I need to owe them at least $5,000-. Gave her call back number as 877-600-9271. A search on that number yielded http://www.taxgroupcenter.com/contact-us
I don't think the foreign telemarketer they hired knew she wasn't suppose to give out their number.
